General Fund

The General Fund is our church’s main operating budget. Gifts given to this fund support the day-to-day ministry and mission of our church, including worship, discipleship, student and children’s ministries, all in accordance with our approved annual budget

Rotating Second Offering

  • The Faith Promise fund supports our church’s missionaries around the world.

    “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” — Matthew 28:19

  • The Facilities Maintenance Offering helps us care for and maintain our church buildings, including the Church, Discipleship Center, and our parsonage. These gifts support repairs, and general maintenance so our facilities remain safe, functional, and ready for ministry.

  • The Local Christian School Offering supports the Christian schools our church families attend. These gifts help provide quality Christ-centered education for children in our congregation and community. We take separate offerings for the specific schools our members’ children attend, allowing us to partner directly with these important ministries.

  • The Benevolence Fund enables our Deacons to provide practical financial assistance to people in our church family and local neighborhood who are facing special or unexpected needs. This may include help with bills, gift cards, and other direct assistance. Gifts to this fund allow us to show the love of Christ in tangible ways while practicing wise and accountable stewardship.

  • The Matthews House Ministry Offering supports a vital outreach in inner-city Grand Rapids. This ministry provides a safe, welcoming space for low-income and homeless individuals and families to gather, access free or low-cost laundry services, use computers, receive hot meals, take showers, and find practical help and encouragement.

    “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” — Matthew 25:40

  • Alpha Grand Rapids (AGR) consists of Alpha Women’s Center and Alpha Men’s Center. Located just outside of downtown Grand Rapids, AGR walks alongside over 1,400 families annually and offers nonjudgmental, compassionate care for those experiencing an unplanned pregnancy or looking for support with parenting young children. Free services include pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, STI testing, one-on-one mentoring, parenting support groups, Pregnancy Education Class, Parenting Class, GED Completion, and English as a Second Language. Parents also earn approximately $81 worth of items from the AGR store at each visit, selecting items like diapers, formula, baby clothing, and other baby supplies.

  • The Cadets & GEMS Offering supports two vital ministries of Dynamic Youth Ministries, the denominational organization for our church:

    • Cadets (North Council) provides resources, study materials, and supplies for boys’ ministry groups.

    • GEMS provides resources, study materials, and supplies for girls’ ministry groups.

    Your gifts help equip our church’s Cadet and GEMS leaders with quality materials so they can effectively disciple the next generation.

  • Love INC (Love In the Name of Christ) of Newaygo County serves as a clearinghouse ministry that connects people in need with appropriate help. They carefully assess needs in partnership with local agencies and churches, then link individuals and families to the best available resources. Your gifts help this ministry continue to show the love of Christ in very practical ways throughout our area.

  • The Bible League partners with national churches around the world to plant new churches and strengthen existing ones. They provide Bibles, New Testaments, and Bible study courses in local languages, along with training to help churches grow and make disciples.
