Love INC
Love In the Name of Christ is a Christian clearinghouse ministry.  As a clearinghouse, it assesses needs of people in the Newaygo County community and determines which agency, organization, or area church is able to help or if Love INC itself can provide assistance.  Love INc relies on supporting churches for volunteers for its programs and Grant CRC members are actively involved in many of the ministries.

Volunteers opportunities are numerous and include sorting clothes or operating the cash register for Love INC's Resale Store, receiving goods in the warehouse, delivery service to and from Love INC's delivery truck, or escorting clients through the Food Pantry.  Other areas where volunteers work are as teachers, mentors, or child care attendants in the Growing Hope Money Management Program, building wheelchair ramps for the Ramp Ministry, knitting mittens and hats for the Knitting/Crocheting Ministry, sitting as a Love INC board member, and many more opportunities.

Grant CRC was one of the founding churches that organized Love INC and members continue to be heavily involved in that ministry because it gives us opportunities to meet needs of people in our community.                      Visit: www.loveincnewaygo.com

Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity of Newaygo County is currently building its 43rd home.  As the organization continues to grow, the need for volunteers also continues to grow.  Areas where assistance is needed include construction, fund-raising, family support, annual yard sales days, committee or board members, and more.  If you are interested in getting involved with Habitat, contact Julie Sanders at 231-924-0350.

Fountain View Retirement Village
Every other month, alternating with other churches, Grant CRC hosts a Sunday afternoon worship service for the elderly residents of Fountain View in Grant.  Before the service begins, church members help staff transport residents to the meeting room.  Then we sing familiar hymns and present a brief message from God's Word, the Bible.  Sometimes there is a special instrumental number from one of our members.  After the 30 minute worship time, we visit with the residents before they go back to their rooms.  Church volunteers find this ministry very rewarding to see the joy on the residents' faces.

Mobile Food Pantry Information:
Throughout Newaygo County, mobile food trucks supplied from Feeding America are hosted by churches and other organizations.  If you and your family are in need of food and live in our community, you are eligible to receive approximately 50 lbs of food at the distribution site.  Please bring 2 or 3 boxes or containers to carry the food.  No proof of income is needed, but the host will require your name, address, phone number, and number of people in your household.
